Hey there, I’m Emily!
I’M A CHICAGO BASED WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER AND I’M REALLY FREAKIN EXCITED ABOUT WHAT I DO.
From getting ready the morning of your wedding day, to getting down on the dance floor, I’m always looking for the little moments. The moments you want to keep coming back to. I’ll be at your side when you can’t remember where you put your vows, I’ll sew the button back on your dad’s suit jacket, I’ll perform surgery on a boutonniere after a groomsman gets a little too rowdy, and I’ll be crawling around on the ground to get all the right angles.
Your wedding day is a thousand little moments of truth that hold some pretty big feelings. Your wedding day is not only the loud moments like saying “I do” and your first dance, it is the quiet moments and the pieces in between. My #1 wedding philosophy is that it isn’t a photoshoot, it’s your wedding day. I want you to have FUN on your wedding day, I want you to not sweat the small stuff, I want you to celebrate with your people, and I want to scream/dance/sing with you to Mr. Brightside.
I believe that weddings are made up of what you feel in the imperfect, unscripted, in between moments. My approach to wedding photography is simple, I want to document your wedding day in a way that feels like who you are as a couple. I want to help tell your story, and I want to tell it well. I feel lucky every single day to get a front row seat to this kind of stuff.

I LOVE to travel!
I’m lucky enough to have lived in London, spent 3 months solo backpacking Europe, and checked 16 countries off my “been there” list.

I grew up in Eden Prairie, Minnesota!
I have a younger brother, a 7 year old nephew (I will show anyone and everyone photos of him EVERY CHANCE I GET) and a whole bunch of cousins I am very close with!

I’m a wine gal!
Do you want to have your wedding consult and final timeline meeting over a cup of coffee or glass of wine? You won’t have to ask me twice! Some of my favorite spots in the city are Guthrie’s Tavern & Printer’s Row Coffee.

I moved to Chicago ELEVEN WHOLE YEARS ago!!!
I came here as a freshman at DePaul University where I studied public relations & advertising with minors in photography & graphic art. Right now I call Lakeview home!

My favorite thing about living in Chicago is living so close to the lake!
You can find me jumping in the lake EVERY SINGLE DAY all summer long! When it isn’t warm enough to swim you’ll see me reading a book somewhere near Belmont Harbor.

Before taking my photography business full time I worked in non-profit event planning.
I helped launch a national fundraising walk program and traveled all over the U.S. coordinating fundraising walks & 5K races.
Non-Profit Work
Non-profits hold a special place in my heart and it’s important to me that I stay connected to the non-profit world.
